If your network is Encrypted go on to step 6 otherwise Click ok and try to connect to your network again.
Download the resource kit to make sure your safe wherever business takes you!Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only. When I try to connect using the windows zero configuration utility it gets stuck validating identity.Hello, I'm trying to connect wirelessly from a Lenovo SL410 laptop to my fully functional home network.I have unchecked the authentication box in network properties and entered the existing network key. steve UPDATE: My home net was set to WPA2 (from my Win7 desktop), which XP doesn't appear to offer. The IE error apparently is due to an old version, I switched to Firefox and there are no further problems. In a few simple steps you can bypass Windows Validation, and the resulting "Limited or No Connectivity" issue on an encrypted connection.
In the next window click on the "Authentication" tab, Make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x...." checkbox is UN-Checked, the rest of this window should be greyed out.
I was on the internet using a wireless hookup, then im not on the internet and its telling me its trying to "Validate Identity" I don't know what this means or what it needs to Validate and or who's or whats Identity?
Are you receiving an endless "Validating Identity" connection status when trying to connect to a wireless network.
